Bangit officially accepts promotion as new AFP Chief

General Victor Ibrado formally handed down his throne to newly appointed Lt. General Delfin Bangit as the new Armed Forces of the Philippines Chief of Staff. General Bangit is a member of the Philippine Military Academy, from the Makatarungan class of 1978. Bangit was controversial, as he was formerly a Commander of the Presidential Security Group (PSG) of President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo, and now regarded as the 40fh Chief of Staff of the AFP.
