RP opens call center for the blind

Manila, Philipines--Philippines will open its first call center aimed for the blind.
There will be eight training rooms and three desks for outbound calls; the facility will be equipped in such a way that it would be customized for the blind.
Reports added that six totally blind, and low vision sighted graduates will serve as trainors.
These blind trainors came from Taipei, Taiwan, Digital Opportunity Center (ADOC), and from the Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation.
ADOC funded the said facility that was mainly a project of Adaptive Technology for Rehabilitation, Integration, and Empowerment of the Visually Impaired or ATRIEV Inc.
ARTRIEV is an organization that began computer training for the blind in the country.
The facility will be customized for the blind whereas; the softwares and refreshable Braille display, as well as the hardware will enable blind individuals to provide customer assistance while listening to the client on the phone.
