A research showed that the Human Immuno Deficiency Virus/ Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome were the leading cause of female deaths in the world.
This was according to the United Nations program on HIV/AIDS (UNAIDS) group, in line with the AIDS Conference held in New York.
Unaids Executive Director Michael Sidibe stated that 70 percent of women are forced to have unprotected sex.
The UN called out that this practice should be stopped, and laid down their five-year action plan that will solve the said problem.
